MIDDAY MEALS TO NEEDY STUDENTS

Im happy to learn that youve visited the website of your Alma Mater and have evinced personal interest in its growth. We fondly
trust that you are well-placed and doing well. The Pompei College wishes you all the best in your endeavours.
I am happy to inform you that Pompei College, started by Rev. Fr Bernard L. DSouza on 6th July 1981, is going into its Silver Jubilee Year during 2005 - 2006. We wish that all its alumni/ alumnae return to the college c. 23rd February 2006 to celebrate the Event and thank the Lord for His showers of blessings on all of us through the Pompei Mother. We intend to inaugurate the Jubilee Year on 6th July 2005.
You will be happy to learn that the College started a Free Midday Meal Scheme for the poor and needy students on July 1, 2004. During 2004-05, we served 112 students at a cost of Rs 72,025/-.
40 students were adopted by our Staff and the rest were helped by our well-wishers and former students. We desire to continue the project during the current academic year too, as we find a number of students going without a meal for lack of money.
May I propose that you adopt a few students in order to feed your needy younger brothers and sisters in the college? It would cost
Rs 700/= per student per year (@Rs7/- per meal, 100 meals per year). The Office Bearers of the Alumni Association are keen in my appealing to your good selves for your helping hand. They have supported the project enthusiastically. I believe that this is a sacred Jubilee Memorial Project. Your kind assistance will be highly appreciated. You may please send your mite to:
